find out just who we are and what we stand for

In 1997 my family and I watch Robot Wars on  BBC2 avidly for weeks, being the young impressionable type we (I) decided to build our first robot, We took an old steel shelving unit and cordless screwdrivers apart to create Deadline 520, at 90cm long 30cm wide and 8 cm tall sporting a 4bar lifting arm our first creation was done, it only weighed 3kg and pondered about at a dismal 4mph but would hoist a 10kg toolbox over, I was hooked, over the next 10 years we fought in each and every series of Robot Wars and attended scores of live events, Building mainly heavyweight robots.

Since the end of Televised robot competitions we've begun to feel the pinch of the lack of full combat competitions we though it time to bring them back. In 2007 we went about designing our own arena, in late 2008 we finally finished our arena, standing 3.5m tall and 9m square base it was what we felt was needed.

But since we first undertook the venture of building the arena I've become increasingly aware of the need for other robot sports, RoboOne Micromouse and MiniSumo to name a few, we want to accomodate them in our vision, We see one day a large scale event for all robot combat catagories, a full size maze for micro mouse, and an aray of sumo arenas for all classes of robots

It may be a long way off but so long as we work for it, we're going in the right direction long may it continue.
